When I attempt to run PERRLA, I get an error that says something about unable to load or use the Visual Basic environment.

Answer:

You’ll have to reinstall Word. The Visual Basic environment is maintained by Word but used by PERRLA. If you reinstall Word, the problem should go away.

This is done by inserting the CD that came with Word (Office) in your CD drive and choosing "Install." After you do that the problem should go away.
