How can I make an annotated bibliography?

Answer:

For most folks, an annotated bibliography is one of a couple of things. It is either a short paper with a lot of references at the end, or it is a list of references with a paragraph or two before or after each reference describing it.

Either way for PERRLA, you will begin the same. Start a new paper using  PERRLA. Be careful what you name it because the name will appear at the top of each page, just like in a regular paper.

As soon as you have entered the basic information, click on Edit References. Enter a reference and then click on Edit References again until all of your references have been entered. THIS IS IMPORTANT... ENTER ALL REFERENCES BEFORE YOU TYPE ANYTHING ELSE.

After all the references have been entered, you are then free to type among the references as much as you like. Just remember you can't enter any more references after that as PERRLA will try to alphabetize your comments with the references and then you'll have quite a mess.

Some people choose to make the reference page in PERRLA and then copy the page to a fresh, non-PERRLA document so that they can go back and add references if they want.
