Does our institution have to provide support for PERRLA?
No. We do all the heavy-lifting of Support. Our US-based Customer Support team is available every single day until 10pm Central. We help students with questions about PERRLA and the APA/MLA formats at every point in the writing process.
Can students keep using PERRLA after they graduate?
When students graduate or leave an institution, they are given a 30-day grace period to continue using PERRLA without charge. If they want to use PERRLA afterward, they can renew their subscription as an individual (no further charges to the school).
How safe is PERRLA?
Very. Papers are saved locally on a user’s computer and are automatically backed up (and encrypted) to our servers “in the cloud.”
Do you sell or share customer information?
No. We handle personal data in a responsible manner. We never sell or share customer information of any kind…names, email addresses, paper content, etc.

Does PERRLA require Microsoft Word?
No. While many students do use our Microsoft Word Add-in, we also have our own web-based online editor (like Google Docs) called PERRLA Online. With PERRLA Online, when you’re finished writing, you download your paper as a Word document (or PDF) to turn in to the professor. Students have access to both solutions and can use the one that best suits them.
