Hey, my name is Kevin Barnhill and I graduated this year with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I've used PERRLA for several years now. Hi, I'm Kim. I'm a Family Nurse Practitioner student. I was introduced to PERRLA by one of my professors who just finished her Ph.D. a couple of years ago. I was really overwhelmed with APA formatting, having not been to school in over 20 years. This program has really helped me. My grades have improved, the formatting is so easy, and I love that you have the option to have a discussion template as well. My name's Elizabeth and I'm a doctoral student and university instructor. PERRLA is essential to my workflow as both a student and a teacher. I'm always writing papers and homework assignments or scholarly literature for publication. PERRLA helps me do all of it, so I can format and cite my work accurately and efficiently. Here are some of my favorite features: PERRLA can find almost any scholarly article from any database with just its DOI or Author & Title.

If you're writing a monster paper like a dissertation or a thirty-page literature review, having immediate access to all those references in a massive convenience. PERRLA is great at finding and formatting references and citations, but another of its features is that it actually formats the paper itself. This is the real blessing of PERRLA, and I say this as a student and a teacher, it takes care of the tedious minutia associated with conformance to the APA or MLA style guide and allows you to focus on your writing. A feature of PERRLA that I love is how it manages all of my citations and it remembers what papers they're in...I don't have to remember all those details because PERRLA does it for me. Hello. My name is Nikita. I am a fourth-year Nursing student and I've been using PERRLA for maybe two years of Nursing school. I really enjoy using it. It helps me with formatting my essays and it's up-to-date with the latest APA 7th Edition. It makes writing essays very easy because you just fill in a few things and you've already got your title page and that's ready to get started. And, my favorite thing about PERRLA has to be the citations. So, you just put in a website or type in a title page for your research article and there it is. It pops up 90% of the time. Hello, everyone. My name is Betty. I have my Bachelor's in Nursing and I started using PERRLA pretty much when I started my BSN classes. We had a lot of papers. They were in APA. PERRLA was just so simple. I had actually heard about it through one of the ladies that was at our center. They would do tutoring and things like that. So, I went in and downloaded it. Super-simple, super-easy. All of my papers, I literally got A's on. It was wonderful. PERRLA is so simple and easy to use and it just set up the margins exactly how you needed it. You could also do your works cited. You could type everything in there and it would pull it up in the APA correctly as well. After you do a lot of Nursing papers, though, APA, you kind of have that citing in your mind. So, there were some friends of mine and we were in class together and they were really struggling with their papers. They were getting a lot of points docked for not having the exact margins, not having the exact spacing. So, I recommended PERRLA to them and they were just... they were so amazed at using it. It was maybe two weeks after that, and our entire class, which was almost 60 people, they were all using PERRLA. So, I just want to say, if you don't have it, you need to get it. It's been a long time since I was in college and when I started grad school and had to think about citing sources, creating resource lists... PERRLA made it so that I could just put in the information from the books I was using, the sources I was using, and it would put it in the correct format that my professors wanted. It also helped me when I was writing the paper to put the correct citations in, and it was a real blessing to be able to turn in my assignments feeling confident that all of my formatting was done correctly and I couldn't have done that without PERRLA.
