Avoid Problems with Paywalls

Creating references in PERRLA with just a URL is fast and easy – but sometimes the page you're looking at has other ideas. Login walls, firewalls, restricted databases – they can block PERRLA from pulling the information it needs. If you've ever tried to create a reference from EBSCOHost, you know exactly what we mean.

Here's the good news: a recent update to the PERRLA Google Chrome Extension solves. this. Instead of trying to talk to a webpage server, the Extension now reads what's already loaded on your screen. So if you can see it, PERRLA can reference it – no more dead ends!

If you haven't tried the Chrome Extension yet, now is a great time to start. It lets you add references to PERRLA while you browse, without ever leaving the page you're on.

Affiliate Program for Schools

PERRLA's Institutional Partner Program makes it simple for schools to provide PERRLA to every student and faculty member for just $9.95 per person, per year. But we know that full institutional licensing isn't the right fit for every school – so we're building a new option.

Introducing the PERRLA Institutional Affiliate Program. It's designed for schools that want to support their students without the commitment of a full license – giving institutions a simple way to offer students access to PERRLA at a discounted rate. We're targeting a full rollout in time for the Fall '26 semester, and we're looking for the right partners to help us get there.
